About Sabbath Keepers Fellowship
Sabbath Keepers Fellowship was founded in 1996 as a home fellowship and study group having an outreach ministry to believers in prison. Donations and contributions were utilized primarily to supply bibles and teaching materials to inmates who could not otherwise afford or obtain them. At that time the ministry was quite small and localized. Upon re-locating from Oklahoma to Texas in 1999, the ministry's operations were expanded and additional programs added. At it's height, Sabbath Keepers boasted an inmate membership in excess of 400, a monthly newsletter, book and bible giveaways, a Pen-Pal program, support of Sabbath worship services on various prison units in both Oklahoma and Texas, and personal visitation to inmates by SKF volunteers. Due to a serious and debilitating injury, most of the ministry's operations were suspended in 2003. Now, by the grace and healing of the Most-High, and because of a great need and demand in the prisons at this time, Sabbath Keepers has begun to resume its operations.
Sabbath Keepers Fellowship is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the teaching and observance of all biblcal commandments, and specifically of the 7th day Sabbath and holy days. They are solely supported by the generosity and charity of people like you. 100% of all donations to SKF go to their inmate beneficiaries, and no one at Sabbath Keepers draws a salary or compensation of any kind. You can be absolutely sure tht when you make a donation to SKF, every penny goes to the people who need it most - their inmates and their families. All donations are fully tax deductible.
Currently their operations are largely, though not exclusively, centered on those in Texas prisons. At present their programs are directed towards individual inmates and groups of believers on several units who have, assembled themselves into working communities who are able to pray, worship and study together. It is their goal to provide these men and groups with bibles, concordances, study materials, prayerbooks, prayershawls, as well as some food and support for the Sabbaths and holy days, which they have no other way to get and are not supplied by the prison. In addition, they are actively working with unit chaplains and others in trying to establish regular weekly worship services supervised by freeworld volunteers on each of the units who request them. They are working toward resuming their Pen-Pal Program and a new Sponser-An-Inmate Program in the near future, as your donations and participation allow.
Sabbath Keepers Fellowship offers its services and support to those who seek to observe the biblical commandments and without regard to particular denominations or doctrines. Their goal is to be among those who, when confronted by our Master on the last day, will hear Him say, "Come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungry and you gave me meat; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came unto me." (Matt.25:34-36)
