About Fellowship Church of God

The Fellowship Church of God  is a prison ministry that deals with prisoners within the Texas prison system.   We are trained volunteers allowed by the State to conduct services for prisoners in units where the chaplains and wardens allow us to serve.   The pastor is Ronel McKown and he is assisted by his wife Donna.   Our goal is to hold services for as many prisoners as possible on the 7th day Sabbath and to facilitate other volunteers in holding services on holy days when we have other commitments already in place.

We have been following the "faith once delivered" for over 20 years and have been active in several church organizations before establishing the Fellowship Church in 1995 with several other believing families.  We held conventional church services for over 3 years and then we all seemed led in different directions at the same time.   As pastor I was given permission to keep the papers on the church and have used them as a springboard for service to prisoners.

At the present time we hold Sabbath services in four different prison units located at Dayton, Beeville, Trinity and Tennessee Colony, Texas.  Our total ministry in these four units includes about 100 men. We also serve other prisoners by sending Bibles, concordances,  study materials and Bible Studies to many men in other units.   All requests are filled as funds are available. At times we are able to by books at discount prices and send to prisoners that deal with the roots of the
Hebrew faith  delivered to the nation of Israel at Mount Sinai by the very voice of YHVH.

Our support comes mainly from the tithes of Ronel and Donna McKown and occasional contributions from friends or family.  Most of the prisoners have no money so we are not supported by them.  With the steep rise in the cost of gasoline and postage our expenses have increased but income has not grown to keep pace.   Every dollar given to this ministry is used to be able to hold services and buy supplies that help these"brothers in chains" go forth with the message of their faith, for in the prison system the "fields are truly white unto harvest."  Men realize the wrong choices they have made in life and are searching for ways to change.  They need believers to teach and help them grow so they can carry the gospel message to other prisoners that I do not have access to unless they attend our meetings.

All donations are welcome and gratefully accepted. There are always needs for money but we also have need to replace our 1993 Van which is used in ministry.  We have put about 240,000 miles on it in service to YHVH and we pray it will continue to serve us well but it is getting older.

We thank you in advance for your prayers and generous support. You are helping to plant seeds that will grow to become citizens of the Kingdom of YHVH  and your part in that will be richly rewarded.  Many thanks and a prayer for great blessings to you and yours.
